(( Yuki and I had this thread started on furubarocks and I said I'd move it here; then I forgot about it so... here it is!! I'm really sorry about not posting it for so long... I'm sorta worried Yuki left us... I"M SORRY!!! ))
Tohru stared down at the dishes she was scrubbing without thinking
about them. That cold feeling had begun to spread through her
stomach again. 'What will I do when when high school is over? Will
I be able to get a good job? And where will live? I can't stay here
forever...' She could feel the tears rising in her eyes. 'And mom
won't be there to help...' A tear fell down her cheek and she
angrily threw the dishtowel into the sink. 'NO! I CAN'T let myself
be sad! I've got to keep working my hardest or I'll never be able to
do anything!' She sighed softly as she searched for the dishtowel in
the soapy water. "But I won't get anywhere if I don't finish these
dishes..," she mumbled aloud. She glanced toward the door. It would
be so embarrassing if someone walked in on her while she was having
one of her internal battles. She knew that her facial expression
must change every few seconds. Oh, why do I have to be so...-she
searched for the right word-... expressive? She put her mind back to
the task before her, but presently her mind began to drift again.
She thought about how she was planning to invite Kisa over and maybe
Hiro if he would come. 'He really is a sweet boy. He just needs
someone to understand.' She also thought about how to help Momiji
feel better about his mother- 'He's grown so tall lately!' - and
about how she was so happy Yuki was so much more cheerful than he
used to be. Her mind wandered over how to make each and every one of
the jyuunishi ((zodiac members)) happier. She came to Kyo. A slight
blush made her cheeks glow. 'Well I'm making that scarf for when it
gets cold again...' Suddenly her face grew pale and her hands began
to shake. 'B-but he won't get much use out of it will he..?' She
felt tears rising again. This time she she couldn't stop them no
matter how hard she tried. She dropped the pot in her hands, which
narrowly missed her foot, and fell onto her knees, sobbing violently.
